Global Environment Facility (GEF) Pavilion

GEF Pavilion

THEME: Investing in Environmentally Friendly Technologies

PAVILION: The GEF provides grants for projects related to such areas as climate change, biodiversity, international waters and the ozone layer with a view to improving global environment and promoting sustainable development for the recipients. Mainly green in color, the Pavilion is designed simply but delicately.

EXHIBIT: The facility is a high-tech glass and steel structure, illuminated by landscape lamps and decorated by murals from across the world, combining traditional arts and modern technologies. A stream of water runs through a glass cone hung from a wood-and-brass vault and flows into a glass shell, indicating the significant role of rainwater in global ecological balance. Through still images and multi-media, visitors will learn about the contribution the GEF makes in terms of spreading experience and improving environment.

CUISINE: There is no dining area listed for the Pavilion.

SHOPPING: There is no specific shopping area listed for the Pavilion.

Note: This Pavilion is located in the International Organizations Joint Pavilion.
