Democratic Republic of the Congo Pavilion

Democratic Republic of the Congo Pavilion

THEME: More Harmonious and Prosperous City, More Treasure

PAVILION: The exterior has an abstract design that contrasts nicely with the rough, exotic interior design which perfectly conveys the primitive, natural and original environment of the Congo.

EXHIBIT: The Pavilion is divided into two main exhibition halls with three exhibits. In the main gallery, visitors are treated to the stylized reproduction of a mine, symbolizing the abundant natural resources of the DRC. This portion of the exhibit is entitled DRC: Impression. In the second exhibit in this gallery, DRC: Restoration chronicles the local customs of the Congo, displaying authentic residential environments of the DRC as well as other concrete items that illustrate the daily lives of the people of the Congo. In the secondary gallery, the exhibit is DRC: Development, which shows traditional sculptures of the reason as well as photographic and video displays of monuments in the DRC. Displays on urban development give visitors an opportunity to share the vision of the future held by the leadership of the DRC and its people.
