EXHIBIT: Visitors will enter the daboita and admire the hand-woven belts, tapestries and carpets that decorate the exterior and interior of the structure, traditional adornments for the dwelling. In addition to the traditional displays, modern plasma television screens will show documentaries about Djibouti; internet access will allow the citizens of Djibouti to visit the Pavilion from home. A wooden bridge will connect the daboita with the rear of the Pavilion, which will display scenes of Djibouti’s extraordinarily beautiful and unspoiled coastline and her justly famous natural harbor. Palm trees will transport visitors to the coast of Africa, a magical place indeed and one we are proud to call home.
