EXHIBIT: The Pavilion has two distinct areas; the first is the Rural zone, which is in turn subdivided into a male and female gallery, each one displaying the roles of males and females in Gabon society. This area uses traditional Gabon art and crafts as well as representations of typical rural dwellings to illustrate the improvement in living conditions for the typical citizen of Gabon. A waterfall creates a lovely pond that is surrounded by lush tropical greenery and examples of wildlife typical to Gabon. The Urban zone will use large-screen projections to illustrate the continuing urbanization of Gabon, the advances in environmental protection and the potential for improved tourism and natural resource exploitation. Here, performances of local music and dance will be periodically undertaken.
