The first is “islands,” each island-like kiosk covers a different project being undertaken by the Mauritian government, including biological diversity, historical heritage, modern development, shipbuilding, eco-tourism and cultural diversity. Each display will be painted a different color to signify Mauritius’ status as a “rainbow nation.” In the rear of the Pavilion is a traditional residential house surrounded by palm trees and sugar cane, which illustrates the simple and peaceful lifestyle of Mauritius.
