South Africa Pavilion

THEME: Rise of a Modern Economy – Ke Nako!

PAVILION: The colorful façade incorporates the traditional African artwork with modern imagery to present South Africa as one of Africa’s most modern, progressive countries and cements our reputation as a truly Rainbow Nation.

EXHIBIT: Much of the Pavilion is devoted to our current pride and joy as host of the 2010 FIFA World Cup of Football. Displays show the modernization of our stadiums, the improvements to our infrastructure and the preparations for one of the greatest celebrations in the world. All eyes will be on South Africa in the summer of 2010 for the greatest competition outside of the Olympic Games.

Elsewhere in the Pavilion, large screen display screens will emphasize South African culture with the sights and sounds of both urban and rural districts. Décor and seating will feature elements of the natural wonders of South Africa, from zebra stripes to ostrich feathers. In addition, the exhibits will change monthly to reflect different themes of modern South Africa, from the FIFA World Cup to remolding the cities of South Africa.

SHOPPING: There is no specific shopping facility listed for the Pavilion.
